Important Dates for NHS Candidates
- NHS applications available on Canvas Friday, August 7, 2026
- NHS Applications due Friday, August 28, 2026
- NHS applications reviewed by committee week of August 31, 2026
- Deliver acceptance and non-acceptance letters the week of September 4, 2026
- RSVP to induction due Thursday, September 11, 2026
- Induction Ceremony Thursday, September 17, 2025, at 6 PM room 222
MDN NHS Requirements
Membership to the National Honor Society is by invitation only.
- Junior or Senior student at Marcos de Niza with a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Recommended by the staff based on the 4 pillars of National Honor Society: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.
Being invited to apply does not guarantee acceptance. If you pass the above requirements, an invitation to apply will be sent to you and your parents by early August. In addition, an invite will be sent to access the NHS Canvas Course so you can begin your application.
